| Paulus1994=352$Wilhelm Eo aus Straßburg verfaßte zahlreiche prophetische, chiliastische und naturkundliche Schriften, die zwischen 1594 und 1626 erschienen. </br> Nach längerem Wanderleben hielt er sich mit Erlaubnis des dortigen Rats für längere Zeit in Nürnberg auf. 1622 wurde jedoch die Geistlichkeit auf ihn aufmerksam und ließ ihn zur Klage vorladen. Bald nach der Vernehmung wurde er im August 1622 in Haft genommen, jedoch schon im September gegen Urfehde mit Bezahlung der Atzung entlassen und der Stadt verwiesen. Eo gehörte zum Freundeskreis des Separatisten Daniel Friedrich, der später in scharfe Opposition zu ihm trat.
